Britcar 500 - Racing with Nicholas Mee Racing

In October I was lucky enough to secure a drive with NMR Racing in the Britcar 500, 6hr night race, I had great fun tearing around in the dark in the Aston Martin GT4 of Christiaen Van Lanschot and Karsten Le Blanc. It was fab to race with such a professional team we finished 15th overall. Spoilt rotten for a day and I loved it.

October - GT Cup

For the Silverstone and Brands rounds of the GT Cup, my hired Aston Martin GT4 got sold, so I had to finish the season in a newly acquired BMW Z4 Coupe. Not ideal, since we purchased it the day before a wet qualifying at Silverstone with little or no testing. Lucky everyone was spinning off in qualifying not just me!

Aug 2009 - GT Cup - Donington

July and August saw a new Aston livery, due to getting a mid season upgrade to a brand new Aston Martin GT4 (4.7lite) supplied by Grange Motors in Welwyn. After its inaugural outing at Oulton Park I was quickly back in the swing of it with two podiums at Donington Park for 2nd & 3rd in Class.

My first Podium in the Aston - Brands Hatch

Finally got my first podium in the Aston Martin N24 but not without a fight. I had a really frought weekend at the Brands Hatch A1 GP meeting, got punted off twice in race one and a bizarre race 2 where we hardly did any laps without the Safety car but having got a good start I managed to pick up a podium. Yee har!

2009 Race Season

For 2009 I am very excited to announce thanks to my sponsors Adrian Flux and Clayton Holdings we are planning to contest a 4.2litre N24 Aston Martin in the GT Cup class 4. The season kicks off at Silverstone on April 19th. Details of the Calendar can be found at www.gtcup.co.uk
