Sarah Bennett-Baggs Profile

Born in Royston with an unhealthy enthusiasm for all things automotive, my migration from working in advertising on an automotive account to running motorsport events and eventually to racing seemed inevitable.

I attended Wisbech Isle of Ely Art college and drew cars whenever I could get away with it, and have kept drawing them ever since.

I have been lucky enough to make some really good friends, sponsors and fellow racers in the sport who have been very supportive, encouraging and at times generous, without them all my racing career could have been very short and sweet!

In 2008 I had a fab time filming the Mille Miglia with James Martin - a tough job, but someone had to do it! James and I got on really well despite the televised banter and fingers crossed it would be great to do some more historic road racing since it really is such an amazing atmosphere and adrenaline buzz!

This year I have been contesting an Aston Martin GT4 in the British Sports Car Series GT Cup.

Notable Results:-
2009 - Finished 2nd in class at Brands Hatch GP & Donington in the GT Cup
2008 - Finished 2nd in class in the Porsche Club Championship overall - 2 Fastest laps, 2 Class wins at Oulton Park and Donington.
2007 - Britcar 2nd in class at Brands Hatch & 3rd in class in 4hr race at Spa Francorchamps
2007 - Dutch Supercar Challenge - 5th in class, Spa Francorchamps - 2hr race solo drive.
2006 - Production S1 - MGZR - 2nd and 3rd in class Spa, Snet and Oulton Park
2006 - Britcar 24hr race finished 30th overall
2005 - Production S1 - MGZR - 1st in class, Zolder and Silverstone
2005 - Production S1 - MGZR - 2nd in class Snetterton
2005 - Britcar 24hr Race - Finished 19th overall, 5th in class.
